Celebrating Holistic Healthcare Practitioners

2022 is a year of hope and opportunities.

After a hardworking 2021 for everyone in the Healthcare field, we're excited for 2022 though we still have a lot of work ahead. I'm happy and open to learning, building, and growing. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

As people become more knowledgeable, the desire to have more control over the different aspects of their lives increases. Their health is no exception. The option to tackle health issues from a holistic approach is on the way to becoming one of the best ways to be more involved in your wellness journey. Why? Well… That's because people want to understand more about all aspects of their wellness. According to Newsweek, 12/2002, Americans make more visits to holistic health care providers (some 600 million a year) than to M.D.s and spend more money out-of-pocket to do so. This amount is estimated at $30 billion a year by recent estimates.

There is curiosity about the reason behind conditions or illnesses. Emphasis on the mind, body, spirit, nutrition, environment, and emotions impact wellness. Where traditional medicine usually focuses on symptoms or single systems, Holistic Health care takes a refreshing look at the body in its entirety. There is also excitement behind being able to do more for the body. That is, not just taking prescriptions for symptoms.

The professional trained to partner with individuals to focus on their holistic health is a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner. Suffice it to say that like traditional medicinal practitioners, holistic care practitioner is special.

There are many areas of certification available for Holistic Health care professionals. Some areas of practice include aquatic healing, herbology, energy healing, holistic nutrition, health and wellness coaching, yoga, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, osteopathy, hypnotherapy, massage therapy, aromatherapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

According to CNN, fifty percent of all medical schools now offer courses in holistic health care. The holistic health care students work very hard and we just want to encourage them to keep going. We believe in their dreams. I would love to encourage all students to seek out practices and get some infield knowledge while they study.

It's an interesting journey to become well known in the field of Holistic Health. It's a combination of consistency, time, smart/hard work, caring about the client, following up, and being open (because you're constantly learning and growing in the field). Each practitioner can specialize in one or multiple areas of Holistic health. They can be a part of a practice and/or own their practice where other practitioners can also offer services.

Every year promises a new set of graduates within the USA and all around the world. This means that more people can access health care, their way.
